The Thirteenth Sunday: An Afternoon in Howth

On Sunday afternoon,we took Barb and Paul out to Howth.

It was a bit chilly but we walked through the farmer's markets and headed over to Beshoff's to get some fish and chips only to be thwarted by a long line and a chill in the air (it's only take out so you can't eat in).

The crowd was getting restless and hungry so we just grabbed some sandwiches (that would haunt at least three of us later that night and the next morning... I, fortunately, passed, looking forward to some chowder and fresh fish later that night from Beshoff's market on the other end of the pier) and some ice cream at Maud's.

There were no seals that day but we enjoyed the boats, the pier and Ireland's Eye anyhow.

Johnny and Oscar played in the park and we wore them out. Oscar fell asleep on the train.

Here we are home at Blackrock station.
