Last summer we were at our annual trip to Northern Minnesota where we attend Camp Du Nord annually.
On our first trip we met a group of Germans. I was later on a hike with one of them and asked how they had found the camp. Apparently the family was host to an American student many, many years ago and they kept up the friendship over time and have committed to meeting regularly, this year was at Camp Du Nord! Now the kids have kids and the families know each other and travel together.
We thought that sounded just lovely.
