I am still working on a post for our day today. Sheila, Trish, Mary and I went on a 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour led by Lorcan Collins* who was a fabulous guide.
Here's a snapshot I took and doctored up of the Ha'Penny Bridge over the Liffey on my way back to grab the kids. More tomorrow.
*Lorcan Collins was born and raised in Dublin. After a life-long interest in Irish history, he founded the Easter Rising Walking Tour in 1996. He co-authored the book The Easter Rising (2000) with Conor Kostick and is currently working on editing a series of books on the 16 people executed during and after the Easter Rising.
