On the Way Home from One Direction

As I type this, Julia, Maggie, Sheila and Liz are on the way home from the One Direction concert. Well, Liz and Sheila just went out for dinner and waited for the girls, so I suppose it is really just the girls on their way home. Sheila just called me to let me know that they found each other afterwards and that the girls were beaming and loaded down with "Direction" paraphernalia!

Here's a review of the concert (mostly about the member of the band from Ireland).

We've had a great time with our American visitors for the last few days and will be sad to see them go. We finished up our "South Coast" trip with a short visit to Kinsale and then headed home to an empty fridge that we quickly (and easily, with use of our temporarily-rented vehicle) remedied.

Kinsale did not disappoint. Particularly on the lunch-front. We ate at the much acclaimed ("best fish in the country!") Fishy Fishy (I had the mussels and chowder. They were amazing).

On Tuesday our kids headed back to school (yes, we are THAT mean) and we took Liz, Julia and Sophia over to Dundrum to the mall where Sheila had her writing class. This was my first time here as well. It was not the Mall of America, but it was still quite large and fun to check out all of the shops. We loaded up a bit on St. Patrick's day duds for our lad whose school had a celebration on Tuesday.

I will post pictures soon but Johnny can't take off the huge tricolor mohawk

He also can't stop (trying to) Irish dancing.

Today we took the gals in to Grafton. You can feel the energy build-up for the St. Patrick's Day festival.

We are planning on doing it all: Trad Stage on Thursday, St. Stephen's Green on Friday, Merrian Square Park on Saturday and the Parade on Sunday followed by a hurling match at Croke Park!
