Seventh Sunday

We took it slow again today. We are all just slightly under-the-weather. Around noon we headed down to "Itsa" in Dun Laoghaire to see if the Irish could make bagels like we are used to!

Its February and you can't really avoid that fact even when you've changed up your lives by 360 degrees.

But the bagels cheered us up and we headed out to the little market down the street and for a walk on the pier.

I am reading At Swim, Two Boys (still!) and it is all about a couple of boys growing up in the early 20th century around Sandymount (the next stop on the coast from Dun Laoghaire). Sheila and Maggie headed back and Johnny and I explored the coast a bit in Sandymount. I'd like to come back next week to explore the "forty foot."

You can see the "forty foot" at the very tip top of that land in the upper left hand corner of this picture.

Johnny and I saw some kids skateboarding on the stairs. They were great (videos to come when I am hardwired!)

We considered a "sun vacation" but it is prohibitively expensive at the moment and if we are going to get a used car we need to get that straightened out before our next guests come (Julia, Maggie's friend is coming on March 9th and they are interested in heading down to Cork to see around a bit. I'd like to see Kinsale.).

On the bright side, we are on the losing side of February and the flowers are starting to pop!
