Paris or Bust

Well we booked it….we are headed to Paris at the end of next week after Maggie’s examinations.  She and Johnny both have Friday, February 15 off of school so we are flying to Paris that morning.  We will return on Monday, February 18 (We figured the kids could miss one day of school as it is just the beginning of Maggie’s new trimester).  We know the weather is not ideal in February in Paris…but we realized we have limited time here and we need to get scheduling some European travel if we want to get to everywhere on our bucket list.  We have grown accustomed to inclement weather so we won’t let a chilly month in Paris slow us down.  It might not even be raining!

Our world traveling friends, Tom and Joe (Godfathers to our kids) recommended we stay at the Hotel de la Bourdonnais.  Here is the hotel description….

Superbly located on the banks of the Seine river, between Pont de l'Alma and Pont d'Iena bridges, INTER-HOTEL Hotel de la Bourdonnais features an enviable position in the heart of Paris.

Set in a peaceful and residential area along the Champ de Mars, only steps away from the famous Eiffel tower, this air-conditioned accommodation is an excellent starting point to discover major attractions of Paris. Easily reachable thanks to the vicinity of the public transportation system, this charming hotel welcomes its guests within a friendly atmosphere and provides an intimate garden where you will appreciate a copious breakfast.

We’ll keep you posted as the plans develop!

  1. There is a beautiful chapel right near Notre Dame that you don't want to miss. It is called Sainte Chapelle. It is one of my favorite places in Paris. You guys are having way too much fun! I love your posts.
