For those of you worried about Maggie, we have discovered at least one thing that makes her feel better, however temporarily.
She LOVES The Voice of Ireland.
This is basically American Idol, but for Ireland. And it is pretty good! Although imagine drawing talent from 4 million versus 300 million.
But it is still good.
The concept is a bit different. We are watching "blind" auditions where the four judges don't see the contestants until they've listened to a sing and decided whether or not to accept them on their "team". Not sure what happens after that, but there ends up being a winner.
It is on once per week (at this point in the season) and eventually we have live shows which are happening LOCALLY (!) at the Helix center in Dublin. We checked it out and may attend one of the live shows.
Yes, we are not opposed to bribery!
Here's to a better week. I just want some girl at Sion to get her number and send a few texts!!!
Maggie, I loved when we had the voice here so I'm glad you're liking that show! There was even a man from MN who ended up 3rd or 4th in the competition so he made it in the news here. It's over here so I'm jealous that you still can watch it in Ireland. What movie did you see today? Was it good? Rachel and I saw Parental Guidance with Billy Crystal and it was very funny. She is at her school dance tonight - she went with a group of girlfriends. Love, Aunt Kathy
