1. What did you do on the plane? What movies did they show?
"Sleep. . . (then laughs out loud because he knows he didn't sleep a wink!) Play on itouch, DS and ipad. . ." Then a bit of thinking. "MegaRun, Ninjago, Indiana Jones and Super Mario Cart. . . I got to have a Sprite and I kind of liked the dinner they served."
(Sheila got super cheap tickets to both our delight and chagrin. They only had the one screen on the plane that only showed "Trouble with the Curve" which interested neither of my kids.)
2. Are there girls in your class?
"Yes." (Today he is going to school for one hour. There seem to be more girls than boys. He sits next to a little girl named Abby).
3. Do you get to learn Gaelic?
"(Laugh) I don't think so." (Then, to me: "Do I?").
(I'm not sure).
4. What kind of cereal do they have?
"Cheerios. With really good milk."
(Sticking close to home at first. We had pasta last night with real Irish meatballs that were lovely).
I'm loving these blog updates! Johnny interviews like a pro, and the photo at the end is amazing. I hope the settling-in period continues to go well and that each day proves a wonderful adventure!
ReplyDeleteLoving the pictures! How long until Abby is his Irish girlfriend? I hope you are all getting more sleep. Hi to Maggie and Johnny from the Hahns. (Oh and Sheila and Lisa, too!)
ReplyDeleteNo Irish gf's for Johnny! Although one little boy said to him "will you be my new best friend?" We teased him all day because he couldn't remember his name!
