A few local pictures

This is our street. We are on the right, up a bit. As I said, this is a "fancy" suburb, but I discovered, while walking Maggie to school why they call it fancy. Our place is awesome, but it is not the mansions that we pass! Also, other streets are MUCH cuter. More pictures to come.

I only just realized that my pictures aren't very coherent in terms of showing you our place. This is a view of our "driveway". That door that Johnny is using as a "football" goal opens up to the street above. Notice the most rare thing about this picture? I'll give you a hint. It starts with an S and ends with an N and has three letters.

This is the back room of the house (I think I took this from the kitchen--there is a longer couch right at the bottom of this picture that you cannot see). It is a gorgeous room with all the windows. This is a newer building. Apparently the house that you can see in the far distance is some old historic house among many on that street. The initial owners of those houses owned these lots all the way to our street (essentially the length of a block) and recently sold them off. Hence the new construction. Johnny and I went exploring on the lot to the left this afternoon after he kicked the soccer ball into the lot. There will be new construction there as well.

This is a 200 year old pear tree.

The small but gorgeous yard. How about that green? In January!?!

More yard. That's the wall Johnny and I went over! It was an overgrown (mess) treasure hunt full of secret buildings, old ponds and greenhouses.

The back of the house.
